Our Mission

To increase the representation of women in law enforcement by uniting, strengthening and supporting the bonds of women in law enforcement or considering joining the field of law enforcement in Florida.

Florida Association of Women Law Enforcement Professionals was founded by a group of passionate women leaders in law enforcement who recognized the need for a supportive community dedicated to advancing the careers of women in the profession.

As a Co-Founder and President of our esteemed organization, it is both an honor and a privilege to serve you all. Founded by dedicated women in law enforcement, our nonprofit was born out of a shared vision to uplift, empower, and champion the women who serve on the front lines and behind the scenes of our communities.

In the challenging landscape of law enforcement, women have long been pioneers, breaking barriers, and shattering glass ceilings. Yet, we recognize that the journey is far from over. Our commitment to supporting, mentoring, training, and inspiring women in law enforcement is unwavering. It is rooted in the belief that together, we can effect meaningful change and create a profession that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion at its core.

As a Co-Founder and Vice-President of the Florida Association of Women Law Enforcement Professionals, I am honored to be part of an initiative created with the goal of inspiring and empowering women at every stage of their law enforcement careers.  Our mission is not only to support the advancement of women in the law enforcement profession, but to also foster a community where we uplift and strengthen one another.  

FAWLEP was born out of a clear need for a space where women law enforcement professionals, both sworn and non-sworn, could unite, share their experiences, and grow both personally and professionally.  Through mentorship, professional development, and advocacy, we strive to break barriers and provide opportunities for women to grow and succeed. I look forward to working alongside you as we continue to build a more diverse and inclusive future in the law enforcement profession.   Together, we can inspire the next generation of women leaders who will shape the future of public safety across the state of Florida.

As a Co-Founder, I am honored to serve as the Secretary of this incredible organization, bringing with me over three decades of experience in law enforcement.  Throughout my career I have had the privilege of mentoring, networking, and assisting many women as they navigate the unique challenges and opportunities within our profession.  My journey in law enforcement has been enriched by the connections I’ve made and the support I’ve received from fellow women in the field. It is my unwavering commitment to give back to this community, helping to strengthen the bonds among our sisters-in-law enforcement and supporting those who are just starting their careers.  

At the Florida Association of Women Law Enforcement Professionals, we strive to create a nurturing and empowering environment for women in law enforcement.  Whether you are a seasoned professional or new to the field, our organization is her to provide the resources, support, and connections you need to succeed.  I look forward to networking and collaborating with like-minded women who share a passion for this profession.  Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive law enforcement community where every women has the opportunity to thrive.
